Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, the Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development, is a great friend of the arts, sciences and humanities. She was elected to the State Senate in 2008 and represents the following neighborhoods in Boston: South End, Roxbury and Jamaica Plain. She taught in public schools in Lynn and Boston, worked as legislative aide and as the Director of Outreach for the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center. She is strongly influenced by her teaching career, has a passion for social justice, and supports creativity in our schools.
